It’s general election day!!!

It’s general election day…. and this is one of the few occasions the electors of Britain will have their say in who governs the country over the maximum of the next five years.

The Conservatives have been in power for fourteen years and don’t deserve to win another term, but most people still aren’t convinced that Labour have what it takes to deprive their opponents a five straight term. Neither party has earned the right to be elected. Pollsters have predicted that Labour will win a majority, but given their current difficulties, particularly over Gaza, that is not guaranteed. If you are unhappy with both Conservative and Labour, there are alternatives.

Here are some choices below if you want to do some tactical voting. But don’t do it, vote with both your head and your heart.

My election predictions: The polls have been wrong, and I believe they will be wrong again. I think it will either be a narrow Conservative majority or a hung parliament where the Conservatives have the most number of seats short of a majority. Labour will come up short again, and will lose many high-profile shadow cabinet members (Wes Streeting is one example) because of their huge shift to the political right. Reform UK’s leader Nigel Farage will finally win a seat in parliament. The Liberal Democrats, Greens, Plaid Cymru, independents and others will win seats, mostly at Labour’s expense. George Galloway will retain the Rochdale seat he won earlier this year. The SNP will win every seat in Scotland, making the demands for independence louder. Northern Ireland, which is always different, will see a battle between the Democratic Unionists and Sinn Fein.
